Our Schools Programme is a subject-based peer network for subject leaders keen to reawaken their love of teaching, develop a strong department and give students a richer subject experience. As a member, you’ll attend an introductory three-day residential course, benefit from one-to-one peer consultation and gain access to PTI online resources.

Award of the PTI Mark

We recognise and celebrate your department for excellent subject provision

We support you to improve your department's subject provision. This year 87% of our members achieved the PTI Mark for focusing on: coherence and a quality of challenge within the curriculum; extending and enthusing pupils with activities that go beyond the curriculum; development and exploration of teachers' own specialist subject knowledge; and raising the profile of their subject within education.

Summer/Autumn Residentials and Schools Programme Fees

The Prince's Teaching Institute is a charity that helps teachers and schools in the state sector. By raising funds we are able to subsidise our activities, however we request a contribution from schools to allow us to continue to provide high quality support for teachers.


How to join the Programme

Attending a Residential Summer School or Autumn Residential allows you to join the Schools Programme.

Membership is free for the first year. The fee for the residential includes all board, lodging and course materials.

One-off fee for three-day residential
Full price £495 + VAT
Discount for affiliated schools (-£100) £395 + VAT
Independent schools (non-members) £1095 + VAT
Independent schools (Schools Programme members) £995 + VAT


Membership fees

After the first year, members pay an annual affiliation fee. This entitles you to a free place at our annual reunion day, discounts on our one-day courses and access to our online teaching resources and members' projects.

Discounts apply if other departments in your school are affiliated to the PTI Schools Programme or Schools Leadership Programme
